SO WHY 82 BLUE DOGS AND A CAT? The Royal Academy Summer Shows theme in 2023 was "Connections" so I thought I would try and do a painting of a photo I had of my Bobby and I. As you're all probably aware my preferred medium is ink so why I thought I would do a painting of my dog and I is anybody guess 🤣 Having never painted a dog before I was quite impressed in painting Bobby in just two days, I was happy as a pig in shit.....then .......My Face, 2 long weeks, deadline in sight and I had painted myself with lip fillers (won't have them they don't suit me) I then went Blue - I was now an avatar and then my eyes moved, I am now sick of my face ...seriously, I peaked to soon with my Boo! Deadline arrives - I send a different picture to Royal Academy and I am LIVID with myself and I am an absolute joy to be around 🤣🤣🤣 Needless to say I was rejected but I didn't care (I had already beat myself up and thrown myself around the room at deadline stage 🤣) It wasn't what I wanted to send anyway and I certainly wasn't going to get in with the painting.
